It is hard to believe the 2019-20 school year has come to an end. While it would be easy to focus on what we didn’t experience due to COVID, we have shared an incredible six months filled with many memorable events. Here are a few of the highlights from a school year gone by so quickly…
It is true we missed out on a number of events this year due to COVID-19 and there is no denying this is disappointing. However, we saw this as an opportunity to be creative, and in some cases, we were able to celebrate in new, more profound ways. Our Grade 8 Graduation celebration is one such example. We are so proud of our Class of 2020 and thrilled we were able to celebrate our graduating class. This was a graduation ceremony we will never forget! We wish all our Grade 8 graduates the very best as they transition to high school next year.
We would like to take an opportunity to thank our St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School Advisory Council. Your year long commitment to the betterment of St. Vincent de Paul CES is very much appreciated. Once again, CSAC had a very busy year providing support to our students. Rest assured, a number of our plans have been placed on “pause”, rather than cancelled, due to COVID-19; we plan to resume these school wide initiatives when it is safe to do so in 2020-21.
As we wrap up this school year, we bid farewell to a number of members in our St. Vincent de Paul community. To the students who are moving on to new schools in 2020-21, we wish you all the best as you meet new friends and make great memories. Ms. Green, Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Senger, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Leusink and Mrs. Freer have all finished their assignments with us at St. Vincent de Paul. We thank them for their commitment and contributions to our school. We know they will be a wonderful addition to the communities they join next year.
Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Mimee-Nugent and Mrs. Leclerc will be moving to new school communities and we wish them well. They have been a blessing to St. Vincent de Paul CES. We wish all these staff members much health and happiness in their new adventures.
Please stay tuned to further NewsWire communications where we will welcome our new staff members for the 2020-21 school year.
To all members of our St. Vincent de Paul community: have a wonderful summer filled with good health, laughter, smiles, and memories to last a lifetime.
God Bless!

Good morning Tiger Families,
To help with planning for the fall, we are asking families to complete an online survey: School Re-Opening Survey June 2020 . The survey will remain open until June 30th and we only require one survey to be completed per family. There are some translations available of the survey which are accessible at the top right of the page when you open the survey. We hope to gain some insights in to how families are feeling about school in the fall.
Thank you for taking time to complete the survey.

Good morning Tiger Families,
We hope that each of you had a good Father’s Day Weekend. On Friday, there was an important announcement related to the province’s plan for re-opening schools. We have attached two letters – one from the Minister of Education and one from our Director of Education. Please take some time to review them both.

Good Morning Tigers,
Kindergarten registration is still open! Children born in 2016 are eligible for Year 1 Kindergarten. Children born in 2015 are eligible for Year 2 Kindergarten.
