April Message

April showers bring May flowers.  Here are some quick updates:

  • Please read the invitation to our Blessing and Dedication and be sure to rsvp by clicking on the link if you can attend. All families and friends are welcome! We need numbers by April 22 so please pass along the message and mark this date in your calendars.
  • The Blessing and Dedication will begin in the gym at 1:30 with a liturgy officiated by the Vicar of Education, Father Con, on behalf of Bishop Crosby. During the liturgy, Father will bless the new Crucifixes, the prayer cloths and the Sculpture by Timothy Schmalz, Angels Unawares. After the liturgy everyone will move to the Chapel for a blessing from Father Con, finished with a few treats and refreshments, then if you wish, self-guided tours of the school.  We do hope you can join us for this Blessed Event.
  • Thursday April 18 is our Bread Ceremony and Stations of the Cross.
  • Friday April 19 and Monday April 22 are statutory holidays and students do not come to school.
  • The Blessing and Dedication will be an appropriate launch into Education Week, which runs May 6-10. Our young Folk Dancers will perform at the Preston Arena on Tues May 7; Family Math Night is Wed May 8th at 6:30 p.m.; Thurs May 9th is a Career Fair in the Learning Commons; and Friday May 10 is our Science Fair. We will end our week with a ‘tree planting ceremony’ to commemorate the new school.
  • Wishing you and your families and Blessed and Holy Easter Weekend!
