Dear Tiger Families,
It is difficult to believe that another school year is about to end in just three days! While we continued to overcome some challenges this year, it has been simply amazing to end the year with protocols lifted which have allowed us to come together as a community and celebrate the end of the year and some important milestones! It has been a rewarding and most enjoyable year for us to have the opportunity to work with you and your children. Being a member of such a caring community of people who truly care about educating the total child (mind, body and spirit) has been a blessing. It is often said that “it takes a village to raise a child” and as such, the great people of this community have and will continue to make St. Vincent de Paul a great and successful Catholic school community. We would like to extend a special note of gratitude to the staff of St. Vincent de Paul who are committed to teaching excellence and learning for all; who truly believe in putting children first and who are always supportive of the initiatives at SVDP. In addition, we would like to thank you the parents and families of our school. Thank you for your patience and for helping your child(ren) throughout this school year. We know it has been challenging for you as well and we truly appreciated your support. To our students, we want you to know how proud we are of all your accomplishments. You have worked so hard and showed such resiliency and determination through this year and despite all of the many changes and pivots, you continued to come to school with a smile each and every day! Tigers, you motivated us every day to be better and to embrace each day with joy and hope! THANK YOU!
The end of the school year inevitably means saying farewell to both some of our staff and students. Graduates of 2022, it has been a pleasure to watch you grow and we wish you success as you begin your journey through secondary school. As you enter high school in September, do so with confidence and believe in yourself and what has been put in your heart and life to do. May God bless and guide you always! Sincere gratitude also goes out to some of our staff who have journeyed alongside us this year and will unfortunately for us, be finishing their time at SVdP.
- Mr. Richard Resendes
- Ms. Shelene Goias
- Ms. Amy Sousa
- Mr. Austin Outingdyke
- Ms. Kalysta Torres
We thank all of them for their hard work, dedication, and support during their time at St. Vincent de Paul. You will all be truly missed and wish you all the best in your new school communities!
In closing, we would like to wish you and your family, a safe and happy summer, filled with God’s blessings of peace, health, and happiness! See you September 6th!
Term 2 Report Cards
Second-term Report Cards and Kindergarten Communication of Learning for the 2021/2022 school year will be sent home on Monday, June 27th. The Ontario Report Card and the Kindergarten Communication of Learning reflect your child’s achievement in all subject areas for term 2 and is not meant to be a summary of the full year. In reviewing student achievement over the course of the school year, you are advised to consider each term independently. As always, families are encouraged to reach out to their child’s teacher about their progress this school year. We are very proud of our students and families and we wish to express our tremendous gratitude for your partnership, encouragement, and support as we navigated through the 2021-2022 school year together.
STSWR continues to work on route planning and bussing assignments for the 2022_2023 school year and this will continue through the summer. If you are a parent of bussed students please be sure to check your child’s bussing details on the transportation website on or after Monday, August 22, 2022. If you already have an account, you will just simply need to login to find this information. If you do not have an account, you will need to create an account, using your child’s OEN # to access their information which you can obtain off their report card.
Please Note: JK and some SK students new to schooling will not have an OEN and these new students will receive mailed route information in mid-August. Bussing routes and times can change depending on new students being added or new areas on the bus route. Please do not assume that your child’s bus information will remain the same as the previous school year.
